We’re looking for a motivated and reliable Semi-Skilled Operative with basic pipefitting experience to join our growing engineering and infrastructure team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on mechanical or site experience who’s ready to develop their career in pipefitting and civil construction. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and site managers, gaining valuable practical skills and progressing towards a fully qualified trade or supervisory role.

Due to growing demand, we’re recruiting a semi-skilled operative in pipefitting to support our customers—primarily in the North of Scotland, with the opportunity for occasional travel across the country.

What You’ll Do
- Assist skilled tradespeople in pipefitting, installation, and repair of infrastructure systems.
- Support site preparation and assembly of pipework and fittings.
- Ensure correct use of tools, materials, and safety equipment at all times.
- Follow drawings and instructions accurately under supervision.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment.
- Take part in training and development programmes to build technical skills and progress within the company.
Who We’re Looking For
You don’t need to be a fully qualified pipefitter yet — we’re looking for someone keen to learn, reliable, and practical.
You’ll bring:
- Basic pipefitting or mechanical experience (industrial, utilities, or construction background an advantage).
- A good understanding of tools and safety practices on site.
- The ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and commitment to continuous learning.
- Full UK driving licence required.
